Secondary Glazing Projects: London Case Studies
Real installations, measured results. See how specialist secondary glazing transforms London's finest period homes.

Mayfair Townhouse
Grade II Listed
A four-storey Georgian townhouse on a busy Mayfair street suffered from relentless traffic noise. We installed 6.4mm laminated acoustic glass with a 150mm air cavity on all 14 front-facing sash windows — achieving an 80% reduction in measured decibel levels. The homeowner described the transformation as 'like moving to the countryside.'

Chelsea Sash Restoration
19th-Century Timber Frames
The owners of this Chelsea terrace wanted to stop the draughts whistling through their original 1870s sash windows without replacing the irreplaceable timber frames. We fitted vertical sliding secondary glazing with Pilkington K Low-E glass, reducing the U-value from 4.8 to 1.4 W/m²K and completely eliminating draughts — while the original frames remain untouched.

Richmond Conservation Apartment
Article 4 Direction Area
This riverside apartment sits within Richmond's strict Article 4 conservation zone where any external alteration requires planning consent. Our slimline 20mm aluminium frames, fitted internally, are virtually invisible from outside — providing full compliance with conservation requirements while delivering a U-value of 1.2 W/m²K and meaningful noise reduction from the A316.
